Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
Apply the fundamentals of Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention from a Threat Management perspective
Define Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management
Recognize the importance of multidisciplinary teams with stakeholders representing various key functions within an organization
Utilize a model for assessing potential “Targeted/Intentional” violence using a Structured Professional Judgement (SPJ) process
Identify a consistent process for developing intervention strategies and managing risk for violence over time
Identify and establish considerations for safe employment terminations or separations
This course is facilitated by Dave Benson, MS, CTM, a Threat Management Professional with over 40 years of combined public and private sector experience and a Certified Threat Manager (CTM) through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
This course qualifies for four CPE credits through ASIS International.
Threat Management Team Training for Healthcare
A self-paced eLearning that provides Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management training for individuals. This eLearning facilitates the most detailed and comprehensive behavioral or psychological aspects of workplace violence in healthcare, violence risk screening, investigatory and intervention techniques, incident resolution, and multi-disciplinary case management strategies. This course is benchmarked to ANSI/ASIS WVPI AA-2020, OSHA regulations, and supports standards published by accreditation bodies--Joint Commission and DNV.

This course allows learners to gain background knowledge on Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention (WVPI) principles, WVPI policies, processes, and protocols to achieve Instructor Certification. Upon completion, learners will be able to deliver and train their organization’s members and community onsite or virtually. The focus of the core curriculum is to maintain compliance with all prevailing standards, international and local standards, guidelines, and policies.
This course qualifies for four CPE credits through ASIS International.
Workplace Violence Instructor Certification—Manager Training
This course provides an enhanced understanding of Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention (WVPI) principles, WVPI policies, processes, and protocols to achieve Instructor Certification. Upon completion, learners will be able to deliver and train their organization’s managers and community leaders onsite or virtually. The focus of the core curriculum is to provide workplace violence instruction consistent with all prevailing standards and best practices.
This course qualifies for two CPE credits through ASIS International.
