A 19-minute eLearning course designed to provide an understanding of verbal de-escalation and equip learners with the skills needed to effectively manage potential incidents.

- Explain the relationship between reason and emotion
- Explain the fundamental principles for de-escalation

- Explain considerations for an individual’s personal safety mindset
- Explore the concept of disengagement
- Explain the use of situational awareness to decide whether to disengage
- Practice the holistic de-escalation approach
