Advanced High-Risk Travel Safety & Security

Two-day Course

The CPPS Advanced High Risk Travel Seminar provides an interactive environment in which to discuss the best practices for traveling safely in the international environment, as well as survive a worst case scenario of being abducted by criminal/terrorist elements or detained by officials of a foreign government.  Topics discussed include safe travel practices, surveillance detection, surviving abduction, surviving captivity, minimizing exploitation, captivity resolution, as well as proven techniques to employ when detained by authorities of a recognized foreign government, such as immigration/customs, local police, and internal security personnel.

Experiential, role-play scenarios are woven throughout the day to psychologically challenge select students with typical dilemmas facing hostages/detainees, as well as inject an “artificial anxiety’ into the training to assist students in cementing the lessons learned for future potential recall.  Examples from actual hostage/detainee events and interviews are used to enhance and clarify teaching points, as well as address student questions.

"After 27 years as a security practitioner in both the public and private sector, I have never attended a course that was so impactful and relevant to my position as the Global Director of Security and Safety.  The Advanced High Risk Travel course was the best training I have received relating to international travel awareness and abduction survival.  I have strongly recommended that all of my high-profile travelers attend this program.  The professionalism of your staff and instructors was outstanding."

Darin Goodwiler, CPP | Director of Safety & Security | Briggs & Stratton

"Hands down, the best training I have received in the private sector."

Steve Kellner | Global Head of Intelligence & Risk Assessment - Int'l Security | Verizon Communications
